Katharine Houghton Hepburn (1907 -2003) was a beloved American actress whose career as a Hollywood leading lady spanned over six decades. This set was Katharine Hepburn's favorite chair and resided in her New York City townhouse. The chair, despite being an antique, was used in everyday life, and Hepburn sat in it while reading books and scripts, looking through mail, and entertaining friends and family.
