Archive of sixteen 8" x 10" photographs, matted and signed on the matting, most with short messages related to their flights, the Space program or the specific image. Expected light wear to matting, which varies, but may include corner bumping, creasing, edgewear, and soiling. A fantastic collection which provides a concise pictorial history of the early space program.

Comprised of, in alphabetical order by surname:

1.) Scott Carpenter (1925-2013) was an American naval officer and aviator, test pilot, aeronautical engineer, astronaut and aquanaut. He was one of the Mercury Seven astronauts selected for NASA's Project Mercury in April of 1959. Color photograph picturing Carpenter being helped into a training capsule, signed: "Scott Carpenter / Mercury Aurora 7". Matted to an overall size of 14" x 13".

2.) Eugene Cernan (1934-2017) was an American naval aviator, electrical engineer, aeronautical engineer, astronaut and fighter pilot. During the Apollo 17 mission, Cernan became the 11th human being to walk on the Moon. Sepia toned photograph picturing Cernan standing next to the lunar rover, signed: "The beauty of the earth from 1/4 million miles in space is a Revelation / Gene Cernan Apollo XVII". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 15".

3.) Gordon Cooper (1927-2004) was an American aerospace engineer, test pilot, United States Air Force pilot, and the youngest of the seven original astronauts in Project Mercury, the first human space program of the United States. Color photograph picturing Cooper standing next to the flight capsule, signed: "A hard day at the office!! / Gordon Cooper". Matted to an overall size of 11" x 14".

4.) Walter Cunningham (1932-2023) was an American astronaut, fighter pilot, physicist, entrepreneur, venture capitalist, and NASA's third civilian astronaut. He authored the 1977 book "The All-American Boys". Color photograph of the Apollo 7 crew, Cunningham at right, looking into the training capsule, signed: "Wishing everyone in the world their chance of dangerous adventure / Walt Cunningham Apollo 7". Matted to an overall size of 14" x 13".

5.) Ronald Evans (1933-1990) was an American electrical engineer, aeronautical engineer, astronaut, officer and aviator in the United States Navy. Achieving the rank of captain, he retired from the Navy in 1976. Evans captions the photograph at top portion of mat: "Ron Evans, CMP / Apollo XVII 6-19 DEC 1972". Pictured holding onto the space capsule during a flight walk, Evans signs the lower portion of the mat: "If you ever want to be a spaceman - this it is - outside in the vacuum of that infinity of space, 180,000 miles from Earth, traveling 10,000 MPH - it's great!! / Best regards / Ron Evans Apollo 17 AUG 1988". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 16".

6.) Owen Kay Garriott (1930-2019) was an American electrical engineer and NASA astronaut. After serving in the United States Navy, Garriott was an engineering professor at Stanford University before attending the United States Air Force Pilot Training Program and later joining NASA. Color photograph picturing Garriott outside Skylab during flight, signed: "What a view! / Owen Garriott". Matted to an overall size of 11" x 14".

7.) Edward Gibson (b. 1936) is a former NASA astronaut, pilot, engineer, and physicist. He is the last surviving crew member of Skylab 4. Color photograph picturing Gibson working the controls in Skylab, signed: "Ed Gibson Skylab III / It was a great way to spend 84 days! Good view, good science, a few space walks". Matted to an overall size of 13.5" x 10.5".

8.) Richard Gordon (1929-2017) was an American naval officer and aviator, test pilot, NASA astronaut, and a football executive. Color photograph picturing Gordon inside the capsule during flight, signed: "A small bit of American know how and mans greatest adventure! / Dick Gordon". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 17".

9.) Jack Lousma (b. 1936) is an American astronaut, aeronautical engineer, retired United States Marine Corps officer, former naval aviator, NASA astronaut, and politician. Color photograph picturing Lousma testing equipment in Skylab, signed: "We thought it was 'prudent' to checkout this Manned Maneuvering Unit inside the Skylab Space Station before flying it tetherless outside the Space Shuttle! / Jack Lousma / Pilot Skylab 3 / July 28 - Sept 25, 1973". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 14".

10.) Kenneth Mattingly (1936-2023) was an American aviator, aeronautical engineer, test pilot, astronaut, and rear admiral in the United States Navy. He was commissioned in the Navy as an ensign in 1958 and received his aviator wings in 1960. A head and shoulders shot in flight suit, signed: "Can you imagine being impatient to see a place that's millions of years old? / Ken Mattingly". Matted to an overall size of 11" x 16".

11.) Stuart Roosa (1933-1994) was an American aeronautical engineer, smokejumper, test pilot, NASA astronaut, and United States Air Force pilot. He was inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame in 1983, and was posthumously inducted into the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame in 1997. A sepia toned photograph of the Lunar module flying over moon with earth on the lunar horizon, signed: "The view of the earth is the most emotional moment of my trip to the moon. Stu A. Roosa / Apollo 14". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 15".

12.) Walter Schirra (1923-2007) was an American naval aviator and test pilot. Before becoming a NASA astronaut, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1945, and served at sea during World War II. Schirra retired from the Navy in 1969 with the rank of captain. Color photograph of Schirra posed next to a model of a rocket, signed: "I'm above it all! / Wally Schirra". Matted to an overall size of 13" x 14".

13.) Harrison Schmitt (b. 1935) is an American geologist, NASA astronaut, university professor, former United States Senator from New Mexico, and the most recent living person (and only person without a background in military aviation) to have walked on the Moon. Color photograph picturing Schmitt on the moon with an American flag, lunar module and lunar rover, signed: "Jack Schmitt / Apollo 17 Moon Walk". Matted to an overall size of 14" x 11.5".

14.) Russell Schweickart (b. 1935) is an American aeronautical engineer, NASA astronaut, research scientist, and United States Air Force fighter pilot, as well as a former business executive and government executive. Black and white photograph picturing Schweickart opening the space capsule door during water recovery, signed: "Nice to be home! / Rusty Schweickart / Apollo 9". Matted to an overall size of 14" x 13".

15.) Thomas Stafford (1930-2024) was an American Air Force officer, test pilot, and NASA astronaut. He also served as Chief of the Astronaut Office from 1969 to 1971. Throughout his career, Stafford received numerous honors and awards for his accomplishments. Color photograph of a side view of Stafford inside a space capsule during flight, signed: "Best wishes - The only way to Fly / Tom Stafford". Matted to an overall size of 11" x 14".

16.) Alfred Worden (1932-2020) was an American test pilot, engineer and NASA astronaut. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in military science from West Point in 1955, finishing 47th out of 470 in his class. Color photograph picturing Worden in his white space suit in front of a training capsule, signed: "The key to a successful flight is in the preparation. Hours and hours of training gave us the skills and confidence to go to the moon in safety. / Al Worden / Apollo 15". Matted to an overall size of 11" x 16".

Unless otherwise indicated, we do our own in-house worldwide shipping!

Applicable shipping and handling charges will be added to the invoice. We offer several shipping options, and remain one of the few auction houses who proudly provides professional in-house shipping as an option to our clients. All items will ship with signature required, and full insurance. Most items are sent via Federal Express, with P. O. Box addresses being sent through USPS. We insure through Berkley Asset Protection with rates of $.70 per $100 of value, among the lowest insurance rates in the industry. Our shipping department cameras document every package, both outgoing and incoming, for maximum security. In addition, we compare our shipping and handling rates against those of other auction houses, to ensure that our charges are among the lowest in the trade.

Upon winning your item(s), you will receive an invoice with our in-house shipping and handling fees included. ***We will ship to the address as it appears on your invoice. If any changes to the shipping address need to be made, you must inform us immediately.***
